The
Horizon-noAGN is the twin simulation ot the
Horizon-AGN simulation,
a large cosmological hydrodynamical
simulation of 100 Mpc/h comoving volume with 1024
3 dark matter particles with the Planck cosmology.
The simulation was run with the adaptive mesh refinement code ramses (Teyssier 2002) and
includes gas dynamics, gas cooling and heating, and various sub-grid models such as: star formation, feedback from stars
(stellar winds, supernovae type II and type Ia), six chemical species (O, Fe, C, N, Mg, Si),
but no feedback from active galactic nuclei.
The purpose of this simulation is to study the effects of AGN feedback on galaxy formation, metal enrichment of the intergalactic medium, Lyman-α forest clustering, etc...
The main developers are
Sébastien Peirani and Yohan Dubois.
